Confidence Scam Artists Posing as TruckersAs you know thieves are becoming more and more sophisticated and the internet is not helping. One confidence scam to beware of is the dummy shipping company. Basically a conman sets up a dummy online shipping company and bids for freight to steal. Whats really sneaky though is that the thieves will often wait a few loads to lull their victims into trusting them. Some of these scam artists actually have real DOT permits and insurance to further appear legitimate.
